今週末の2月19日（土曜）にNospace Galleryでパーティーをします！

RCAでの1年と前の場所での1½年を記念+リノベーションしたギャラリーのお披露目を兼ねてます。随分雰囲気が変わりましたよ。

Nospaceにゆかりのあるアーティストたちのパフォーマンスもたくさんあります。

ぜひぜひお気軽に立ち寄って下さいねー。




Hi everyone,
Nospace gallery moved to new place a year ago (after a year and half in the first place) and we just renovated the gallery space this month. We guess now it will be perfect time to have a 1st (+1½) anniversary and renovation party. We also invited our guests to show some new work, performance and live music, see the description below. The party will be on this Saturday 19 February 2011, starts from 9PM. Come to see the space, or if you’ve never been in Nospace before, maybe this is the best time to check out the space. The party opens for everyone.

Exhibition Profile
‘glitch’ vs ‘glitch as software(or effector)’:
If I succeed in generating never-before-seen gltich phenomenon by chance, I am shocked, in owe and celebrating the discovery. For glitch maniacs like me, the new gltich must be sublime. But at the same time, it means that the phenomenon become reproducible. By doing the same approach, I will be able to get the same effect at any time.
In terms of freshness, there is a difference between a first-time glitch and a second or later one.
On a second experience of the phenomenon, the glitching process will function validly as a software plug-in or an effector which simulates ‘glitch’ as intended, instead of invoking original shocking as first-time gltich. Because, the glitching result has already been expected.
So I call the first original one ‘glitch’, and the second(or later) reproduced one ‘glitch as software’.



Absurdity of glitch:
As mentioned above, once a glitch is named or realized, the momentum -the glitch- is no more. I agree to the view of Rosa Menkman. Such a glitch-like phenomenon which is obtained from ‘glitch as software’ has lost original ‘glitch’ enchantment. The original ‘glitch’ directly vanished into a known realm, and usable glitch is only. It’s like an absurdity of Camus’s ‘Le Mythe de Sisyphe’ and a matter of deep interest. So the aim of this project is to pursue this absurdity of ‘glitch’.

昨年のkings of convenienceのコンサートにやってきたErlend Øyeですが、今度はWhitest Boy Aliveとしてタイにやってきます。 昨年末も個人旅行で訪れたりと、、、タイがすっかりお気に入りのようです。

会場は前回と同じMoonstar Studio。ちょっと見つけにくいのと、付近には帰りのタクシーが皆無なのは要注意。電話でタクシーを呼ぶか、大通りまで誰かの車に同乗させてもらうしかない場所です。

写真はアフターパーティーのときのスナップ。シャンパン片手に、ゆるくDJしてました。

今晩はライブイベント@nospace 1月19日（水）

先日、Bed Supper Clubでイベント「Mixup」を開催してきました。nospaceのイベントでおなじみのGiwi Not Shake、Lemur OnkyokeiことSonic Scape OrchestraのGolf君、アメリカ人DJ Spikeなどの音楽+サックスや即興のダンスパフォーマンスなどなど、なんでもあり？なイベントになりました。月曜日にも関わらず、なかなかの盛り上がり。さすがはBedです。

バンコクで活躍するアメリカ人x日本人xリヒテンシュタイン人のパンクバンドBone Cloneのオリジナルドラマーがバンコクに立ち寄るとのことで、1夜のみのオリジナルメンバーによるライブを急遽行うことになりました。共演するのは、こちらもファランのロックバンドPussy and the Learjets。めずらしく熱い感じのイベントになりそう。入場無料、平日ですがふらっとお立ち寄りください。
